1. Introduction

Welcome to ApplyScope. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ApplyScope platform, including our website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

ApplyScope is operated by ApplyScope ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ApplyScope is an AI-powered remote job intelligence platform that:

  • Scrapes publicly available job listings from multiple job boards and applicant tracking systems.
  • Evaluates job postings against your professional profile using artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic).
  • Provides a dashboard for managing your job search pipeline, analytics, resume matching, and cover letter generation.

The Service is designed for individual job seekers and is not a recruitment agency, employment service, or staffing firm. We do not guarantee employment outcomes.

3. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password or API keys with third parties.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payment Terms

  • The Pro plan is billed at $49 per month or $490 per year ($39/mo billed annually), payable in advance.
  • The Max plan is billed at $99 per month or $948 per year ($79/mo billed annually), payable in advance.
  • All fees are in US Dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period.
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without written authorization.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage within your plan limits.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is owned by ApplyScope and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you provide (profile information, resume content, preferences).

AI-generated content (evaluations, cover letters, screening answers) is provided for your personal use in connection with your job search. You may use this content freely in your applications.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting us to delete your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted unless otherwise required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplyScope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, employment opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
